Tannlæknastofan Tannsetrið was founded on September 20, 2022, when owner Marteinn Þór bought premises and equipment from dentist Ingigerði Guðmundsdóttir.

Marteinn had then worked for over a year as a general dentist after graduation.

Just over 2 months later, on December 10, 2022, Tannsetríð expanded when the next salon next door was bought by Hanna Kristína Pétursdóttir dentist. Construction began at the same time to convert the two living rooms into one living room, with 2 operating rooms. Construction was completed at the end of January/February 2023.
